It’s been a long hiatus but we’re back. This time we’re talking about the apocalypse. It’s something that we always end up talking about when there’s nothing else to talk about. A lot of stuff gets purchased for, and a lot of stuff gets built to handle the apocalypse. When the big San Diego blackout hit all the emergency supplies I was holding were all there for the inevitable apocalypse. Each of these shows deal with the apocalypse or recovering from it. It’s a cool manifestation of somebody’s idea of the apocalypse. The fun part is always to compare and contrast what each show is doing, and of course what my imagined reality would be. As always we’re pretty hard up for feedback to see if there’s any way I can make the podcast better. It’s not going anywhere though, my narcissism will make sure of that.
After a 2 week hiatus we are back. Originally we wanted this episode to come out right with the first episode of Wilfred for the US audiences but we fucked that up pretty well. There was a lot of stuff going on that held us up and the car took a good chunk of time and money from me. I’ll put up another walk through video so you can see the progress on the car thus far. Episode 43
This week we had to flip flop with last week. If we’re talking about stuff that now has no bearing on your life, well that would have been true anyhow. We’re talking about some of the original video game to tv transitions. The earlier Sonic The Animated Series was better known as Sonic SatAM because it was always on Saturday morning cartoon blocks. The Super Mario Bros. Super Show was another steamy pile of crap that still gets me nostalgic. It has both live action weirdos doing bits, celebrity appearances, and a sweet animated section the kids were on board for. We round stuff out with Viva Pinata. The game is a pretty addictive little farming game I lost my girlfriend to for a while….
On this episode of CouchIsland we’re checking out why swamp shoes are getting so popular. I’m thinking it may be that people are just sick of the forests and mountains. Either way there’s more than enough of these shows and I figure we should break them down. Episode 42
I’ve finally gotten back into grinding out episodes for you guys. I’ve added on a new co-host in the hopes of adding some more variety in the topics of discussion. This also brings in the era of talking about movies. We’re talking about two different movies with some mentally troubled individuals trying to make a difference in their world. Episode 53 Also a quick poll: [poll id=”2″]
This week’s episode inspired in part by forum member Hazy Tundra. Not too much in the way of news these days, at least nothing we’d prefer to talk about. Shorter ep, we’ll make it up for you later. Episode 47
Let’s talk about some cartoon cats. Episode 49
